Abstract

In the present study, we developed a new method for multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) based on bipolar value sets. The proposed method is to develop a new methodology name BFS-TOPSIS, which considers the positive and negative decisions of the decision-maker. The BFS-TOPSIS is a combination of bipolar value sets with the fuzzy TOPSIS method and uses a score function to select the best alternative. We have shown the design algorithms BFS-TOPSIS and illustrate our proposed methods with examples.
